A Feast for a Bookworm

A Feast for a Bookworm is weekly post on Bookworm Dreams blog highlighting new books that I either purchased, borrowed, received for review or on a giveaway.

What is the difference between this post and In My Mailbox hosted by The Story Siren or Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews? None, whatsoever. But since I will be linking up to both of these meme's I thought that my post deserved some original title. And this is what my husband and me came up with. :)

So new books on the menu for me are:

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
The Boy Who Could See Demons by Carolyn Jess-Cooke (YA Contemporary/Fantasy...?)
Amity & Sorrow by Peggy Riley (Literary Fiction)
Twisted Summer by Lucy V. Morgan (New Adult Contemporary Romance)
The Rules for Disappearing by Ashley Elston (YA Contemporary Mystery)
The Call of Agon by Dean F. Wilson (Fantasy)
Big thanks to Delacorte Press, Little, Brown and Company, Curiosity Quills Press, IFB Blog Tours and Dean F. Wilson.

Since I am drowning in a pile of review copies I am trying to cut back on my NetGalley visits and I think it's working. Only two books this week. The Boy Who Could See Demons and Amity & Sorrow. And since I got pre-approved link for Amity & Sorrow in NetGalley newsletter, it does not count as request, right? o:)

I received copies of Twisted Summer and The Rules for Disappearing for review as part of the blog tour organised by Itching for Books. Summer is near and I'm in a mood for contemporary novels lately.

And last, I got The Call of Agon on a Goodreads giveaway. I could not believe it when I got the notification. It has such an amazing cover and I can't wait to read it. And here's another pic of The Call of Agon live after unpacking sitting on my shelf:

On my shelf The Call of Agon by Dean F. Wilson

What do you think I should read first? Did you already read something from this pile? What did you get this week?

Feel free to leave links to your lists of new books in comments. ;)

  1. I'm really curious about The Rules of Disappearing. Sounds really interesting. I haven't heard of the others but I hope you'll enjoy them. BUT I can't believe that someone I know won a goodreads giveaway! I've entered billions of these and really never got anything. You're lucky :)

    1. Yeah The Rules of Disappearing sounded interesting to me too, that's why I signed up for blog tour. And also Maja from TNL gave it a good rating. :)
Hehe will you hate me if I tell you this is the second time I won a book via Goodreads giveaway? :D I guess that makes me super lucky. ;)

    3. Nope. I didn't enter Goodreds giveaways much. Maybe I should join them more often, since it seems that I have luck with them. :D

  4. Wow! Cool books :D Congrats on winning a GR giveaway - I've never know anyone who has and have always been sceptical that people DO actually win them (lol). I have added The Boy Who Could See Demons to my *want* list!

Oh, and wonderful wonderful title! I love it!

    1. Thanks, actually this is the second time I won a GR giveaway. So obviously real people do win them (at least sometimes) LOL
I think 'The Boy Who Could See Demons' is still available on NG, if you want to try and request it.

And thanks, I liked the title too. It's good to know that our two hours of brainstorming paid out. :D

      Thanks for stopping by!

  5. I haven't heard of any of those books, except for The Rules for Disappearing! I saw it on NetGalley, but I have too much to read from Edelweiss and NetGalley, so I didn't request the book. I hope you enjoy it, and all of your wonderful books! Congrats on the Goodreads win! I've won like, four books from Goodreads? I wish I could win more! lol

    Check out my STS post!

    1. Even if you request The Rules for Disappearing from NetGalley, if you are not pre-approved, I think you will not get it. Disney is refusing all blogger requests lately. Bad bad Disney. :/
And thanks for stopping by and congrats to you on GR wins, it's good to hear I'm not the only one. :D

    1. I am also curious about that one. I didn't want to read reviews because they might contain spoilers, so I will go-in-blind. :)

  9. I'm so addicted to NetGalley. I've been trying to stay away, too (at least until I make a dent in what ARCs I already have). I agree that Twisted Summer looks interesting. I have The Rules of Disappearing, but haven't gotten to it yet. I've heard good things.

  10. Excellent haul this week :D I also love your feature title ;-) I also need to stop visiting Netgalley, I sort of requested way too many books this week >.> I just didn't expect to get most of them!

    1. Yeah, that's my problem too. You never know how quickly they will approve your requests, so you can not plan to request exact number of books. o.O
And thanks, I'm glad you like the title. :)
