A Feast for a Bookworm

A Feast for a Bookworm is weekly post on Bookworm Dreams blog highlighting new books that I either purchased, borrowed, received for review or on a giveaway.

What is the difference between this post and Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews? None, whatsoever. But I thought that my post deserved some original title. And this is what my husband and me came up with. :)

There was no feast/books for this bookworm last week. I don't know if I should be happy or sad... I'll go with happy. That review pile is clearing up. Yeah!

This week brought a lot of awesome surprises:

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
The Universe Versus Alex Woods by Gavin Extence (YA Contemporary)
Charming by Elliott James (Urban Fantasy)
Parasite by Mira Grant (Science Fiction, Horror)
Glass Frost by Liz DeJesus (Ya Fantasy, Fairy Tales)
Independent Study by Joelle Charbonneau (YA Dystopia)
Big thanks to Redhook, Orbit Books, Liz DeJesus & Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

The Universe Versus Alex Woods, Charming and Parasite are all available to READ NOW on NetGalley. I'm so happy since these are some of releases I was looking forward to in 2013. Thank you Hachette Book Group!

Also Liz DeJesus contacted me with review request for sequel of First Frost. Since First Frost was very original ya fantasy that used artificats and characters from famous fairy tales to make new original story, I am so excited to read Glass Frost. There will be a review soon. :)

And for the end I acidentaly saw review copy on Edelweiss of Independent Study, sequel to The Testing (my new favorite ya dystopia). I immediately sent a request and I got approved!!! The only downside is that AGAIN ebook can't be sent to Kindle. :(

What do you think I should read first? Did you already read something from this pile? What did you get this week?

Feel free to leave links to your lists of new books in comments. ;)

  7. This reminds me that The Universe Versus Alex Woods is one of the lost BEA books. Sigh. Oh well, it's Read Now. Maybe I should nab it. Charming and Parasite made it though. PHEW.

I love the cover for Glass Frost. I am guessing that Liz DeJesus is going to use elements from Snow White in this one. :)
I hope you enjoy The Testing as much as I did! :)
