A Feast for a Bookworm: Week #20 & #21 in 2013
Saturday, May 25, 2013A Feast for a Bookworm is weekly post on Bookworm Dreams blog highlighting new books that I either purchased, borrowed, received for review or on a giveaway.
What is the difference between this post and In My Mailbox hosted by The Story Siren or Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews? None, whatsoever. But I thought that my post deserved some original title. And this is what my husband and me came up with. :)
I managed to skip posting last week again. I would say I have a big pile of books to share, but comparing to last time this is small.
Black Spring by Alison Croggon (YA Fantasy, retelling of Wuthering Heights)
Mist by Susan Krinard (Urban fantasy, Mythology)
City of Lost Dreams (City of Dark Magic #2) by Magnus Flyte (Urban Fantasy)
A Clockwork Heart (The Chronicles of Light and Shadow #2) by Liesel Schwarz (Steampunk)
The Angel Stone (Fairwick Chronicles #3) by Juliet Dark (Urban Fantasy)
Big thanks to Candlewick Press, Tor Books, Penguin, Del Rey & Ballantine Books.
This Girl (Slammed #3) by Colleen Hoover (NA/YA Contemporary Romance)
Dare You To (Pushing the Limits #2) by Katie McGarry (NA/YA Contemporary Romance)
Big thanks to Atria Books & Harlequin Teen.
So many sequels for the series I love! Yay! They are all available on either NetGalley or Edelweiss, so if you have been waiting too, go and grab them while they are available. ;)
What do you think I should read first? Did you already read something from this pile? What did you get this week?
Feel free to leave links to your lists of new books in comments. ;)

I've read both This Girl and Dare You To and I enjoyed Dare You To so much! It just my type of a read. I haven't heard of the others but they look cool :)
ReplyDeleteI already planned to read Dare you to next, but now I am looking forward to it even more. I hope I enjoy it too. :)
DeleteMist looks good. Going to read Dare You To After I'm done reading Preaftio.
ReplyDeleteGreat haul of books.

Mist looks awesome. As soon as I saw cover for Mist and that it's published by Tor (in other words it's fantasy) I requested it.:o)
DeleteDare You To is also next book that I am planning to read.
This Girl! I have that one, and I need to read it soon! I have read Dare You To - it is AMAZING! My review is HERE, if you are interested :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy all of your books! :D
Thanks for visiting my blog!

I just finished reading Dare You To and I enjoyed it. I'll read and comment on your review when I write mine, to prevent involuntary stealing of some of yours ideas.
DeleteLovely haul!! I've heard many good things about Slammed and the rest of this series. I hope you enjoy This Girl!! I have an eARC of Dare You To too and I'm going to read it next. I love Pushing The Limits, so I'm sure I'm going to enjoy this one.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!! It is really beautiful. I'm a new follower via GFC and Bloglovin. Can you please follow back? Thanks ^^

I just finished Dare You To and I enjoyed it, not as good as Pushing The Limits but still nice.
DeleteThanks, I am glad you like my blog and thanks for following. :)
I need to read City of Dark Magic. That series sounds so interesting and I dig those covers. Same for the A Clockwork Heart. I have the first book on my Kindle, but haven't read it yet. Those covers are so awesome. Happy reading! Thanks for stopping by earlier!

City of Dark Magic had it's flaws but it was interesting urban fantasy. (here's my review) and covers are awesome. The same applies to Clockwork Heart too. :)
DeleteI haven't read any from the books you got this week but I heard great praises to Dare you to and This Girl. You think I should read Pushing the Limits? Enjoy your reads :)
ReplyDeleteI read Pushing the Limits recently and it's very good ya contemporary romance if you like that sort of thing. And it covers some serious topics like domestic abuse, loss of parents etc. So if you like these kind of books, then my answer is yes you should read it. :)
DeleteI got This Girl too. I love Hoover's books. Happy reading.
ReplyDeleteCool haul. Enjoy them all :)

Thank you Shane. :)
DeleteThe Fairwick Chronicles looks interesting. I will have to track down the first book. Thanks for stopping by my STS.
ReplyDeleteThe Fairwick Chronicles could be best described as mix of Harry Potter for adults, Friends (tv show) and historical romance. It's a strange combination but it mostly works, except for hr part, but that's only book #1.
