A Feast for a Bookworm

A Feast for a Bookworm is weekly post on Bookworm Dreams blog highlighting new books that I either purchased, borrowed, received for review or on a giveaway.

What is the difference between this post and In My Mailbox hosted by The Story Siren or Stacking The Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews? None, whatsoever. But I thought that my post deserved some original title. And this is what my husband and me came up with. :)

I skipped posting new books last week, so this will be a BIG list:

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
The Sword Dancer by Jeannie Lin (Historical Romance)
The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo (Historical Fantasy)
Dragon's Child (King Arthur #1) by M. K. Hume (Historical Fantasy/Arthurian Mythology)
A Study in Silks (The Baskerville Affair #1) by Emma Jane Holloway (Steampunk)
Dancing With the Devil (Nikki & Michael #1) by Keri Arthur (Paranormal Romance / Vampires)
Big thanks to Harlequin Historical, William Morrow, Atria Books, Del Rey & Dell.

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
Old Mars (Science Fiction Anthology)
Fool's War by Sarah Zettel (Science Fiction)
Once We Were (The Hybrid Chronicles #2) by Kat Zhang (YA Dystopia)
Across a Star-Swept Sea (For Darkness Shows the Stars #2) by Diana Peterfreund (YA Dystopia)
Dance of the Red Death (Masque of the Red Death #2) by Bethany Griffin (YA Dystopia)
Big thanks to Bantam, Open Road, HarperCollins, Balzer + Bray & Greenwillow Books.

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich (Contemporary Chick Lit)
The Paradox of Vertical Flight by Emil Ostrovski (YA Contemporary)
How To Love by Katie Cotugno (YA Contemporary)
Rock and a Hard Place: A Jamieson Brothers Novel by Angie Stanton (YA Contemporary)
Snapshot: A Jamieson Brothers Novel by Angie Stanton (YA Contemporary)
Big thanks to William Morrow, Greenwillow Books, Balzer + Bray & HarperTeen.

Pics are links to Amazon, and here are Goodreads links:
Playing Tyler by T.L. Costa (YA Mystery)
Lonely Souls (The Witch Avenue #1) by Karice Bolton (Paranormal/Witches)
Altered Souls (The Witch Avenue #2) by Karice Bolton (Paranormal/Witches)
Released Souls (The Witch Avenue #3) by Karice Bolton (Paranormal/Witches)
Twisted Perfection (Perfection #1) by Abbi Glines (New Adult Contemporary Romance)
Big thanks to Strange Chemistry, Karice Bolton for The Witch Avenue and me (for purchasing Twisted Perfection :o) ).

It may seem a little bit bigger but it IS a two week worth of books. *innocent look* OK OK I confess. This is a disaster. And I just started cleaning up my review pile. *sigh*

This time NetGalley is innocent. I only got The Sword Dancer, Fool's War & Playing Tyler from their website. The blame is 100% on Edelweiss - they approved most of my request and some were more than two months old! I would be angry at them if I was not excepted over so many great books I now have to read. :D

I also signed up for Karice Bolton's The Witch Avenue blog tour. I expected to get only Lonely Souls (book #1), but Karice gifted to me all three ebooks so now I have a lot of witchy goodness to read. :)

And last, I bought myself a little treat for relaxing on my vacation in Budapest - Twisted Perfection. I read it and although I loved Abbi Glines' dramatic romance as always, it's getting too similar to erotica for my taste. Full review will be posted soon.

What do you think I should read first? Did you already read something from this pile? What did you get this week?

Feel free to leave links to your lists of new books in comments. ;)

  1. Hahah OMG love your haul! So many awesome bookies!

King Arthur #1 - I hope you really like it. I studied Roman society extensively at High School and then at uni, so I luurrrvvveee the spin Hume puts on the legend. I'm reading the prequel series about Myddrin :-)

Jelly of Once We Were and Dance of the Red Death. I hope I get approved for a few of those from Edelweiss, but not really holding out.

Excited for your blog tour of the Witch Avenue series, I have book 1, I bought it when it was a freebie on Amazon, but I have never read it. Should change that soon!

Thanks for stopping by dear, and I hope you love and enjoy all those goodies,

    1. Yeah I'm so excited to read most of them. And so happy that I got approved. :)

I hope I like King Arthur #1 too, because then I have a lot of books in that series to enjoy. And I always like when they add a little bit of a twist to the legend. :)

I hope you get approved from Edelweiss too. Just don't lose hope, you never know - as I said I got approved for some two month old requests, so you never know. ;)

I am reading 'The Rules For Disappearing' now (another blog tour read) and then I'm on to 'The Witch Avenue' next. I'll let you know how it turns out. And book #1 is still free for Kindle.

Thank you for stopping by too and I do hope that we will both enjoy our book hauls. :)

  18. Love the name of your feature! Definitely a feast, all right. ;) Also - so many marvelous books. I requested Once We Were a few days ago, so I'm still waiting for their response. How to Love has such a simple and pretty cover; I can't wait to heae uour thoughts on that one. So I'm not the only one whose requests get approved late! That happens to me on both NetGalley and Edelweiss, I'm afraid. Hope you enjoy all your new books, and have a lovely week. :)

    1. I got approved right away for 'Once We Were' but I think it was mostly luck since I also got approved for some titles that I request 2-3 weeks ago. So it's just patience until they get to your requests....
And no you are not the only one.
      Thanks on nice wishes. :)
