Top Ten Authors That I'd Put On My Auto-Buy List

Tuesday, February 26, 2013

So who are top ten authors who are on my auto-buy list? Obviously all the authors I'm thankful for, but since some of them are dead, I'm going to limit this list only to authors that are still alive and publishing books.

So, whose new books I will always buy without checking out the summary, genre and turning the blind eye on high price or ugly cover?

♥ Fantastic Four ♥

My favorite fantasy authors

♥ Three New Hopes ♥

Recently discovered new authors

♥ Horrific Duo ♥

The only people I pay to scare me...

♥ One Guilty Pleasure ♥

When I want to relax and have a nice laugh

This list is not ordered, it just seemed interesting to group them this way. :)

Let's Talk:

Well that's it from me. What are your auto-buy authors? Do we share the same ones?

Share your thoughts and links to your lists in comments! :)

    1. Ya books are hit-and-miss for me so it's tough for ya authors to get an auto-buy status with me. Although a couple of them managed to sneak in. :)

    3. I'll try to squeeze it in next month, thanks for the recommendation. :) Although I read so many books in English, that it feels weird whenever I read something in Serbian. :D

Neil Gaiman is the best, I discovered him a couple of years ago and since then devoured all of his books. Now I am eagerly waiting for a new one. :D

    1. Martin is dark and gritty, definitely not for everybody, but nobody knows to write an intense plot like him (or kill main characters without mercy) LOL

  7. Wonderful choices. Of your top four, I really enjoy Brandon Sanderson and Philip Pullman. Neil Gaiman's books honestly haven't been my favorites to read, but I've been loving them on audio. I could listen to that man forever.

Yay for Kristin Cashore and Marissa Meyer. I've heard great things about Liddell's book, but haven't gotten to it yet.

    1. I'm not crazy about Neil Gaiman's ya books, but I loved adult fiction. American Gods is one of the best uf I read. Although I have a weak spot for Egyptian mythology... So I may not be objective. :)

You should give 'The Cadet of Tildor' a try, if you liked Cashore, Lidell has the same vibe. :)
